Ann Coulter Brings Up Impeachment After President Trump Voices Support For Amnesty

The media has been astonished by the steadfastness of Trump supporters over the past year. Even when President Trump has repeatedly come up short, his fans have stood by him without question, until now. For example, Trump’s latest move on immigration caused Ann Coulter to bring up impeachment.

Announcing a six month sunset for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals at first appeared to be a campaign promise kept. During the campaign, Donald Trump often spoke about President Obama’s DACA program and his desire to end it. It was initially one of those “Day One” promises, then a “First Hundred Days” promise, and finally it was all but forgotten about.

The announcement by Attorney General Jeff Sessions that the DACA program would in fact be ditched after six months breathed new hope for those more disappointed followers of President Trump. It was a sign that they hadn’t been forgotten after all!

And yet that hope came to a crashing halt a mere few days later. In fact, President Trump has been tweeting his support for the illegal immigrants that his supporters believed were going to be deported!

The policy reversal was jarring. Within the span of only a few days, President Trump went from having one of the strictest immigration policies of any recent presidential administration, to one more like that of President Obama. His current position is putting him in the company of liberal and leftist Democrats like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.

The tweets did not go unnoticed by the hard right. Many of President Trump’s major supporters voiced their displeasure. But few were more incensed than Ann Coulter:

This is the first time that Ann Coulter, or any of President Trump’s prominent supporters, have ever even mentioned impeachment. That’s quite a leap from their previously unwavering support! Apparently, DACA has broken their spine of support for the president.

If Ann Coulter is willing to bring up impeachment after only eight months, the rest of Trump’s term may well be in dire straits.
